The population consisted of 136 employees working at PT. Bangun Tenera Riau, while 100 samples were taken. To analyze the data, a series of methods were used, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple regression analysis, hypothesis tests (T-test), and determination coefficient tests. All analysis was carried out with the help of SPSS 22.0 software.

Results

The results of this study showed that the application of fingerprint attendance had a significant influence on employee work discipline. This is evidenced by a t-count of 7.951, which is greater than the T-table of 1,660. With a significance value of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, we can conclude that there is a strong positive influence between the two variables. Furthermore, the R-Square value of 0.392 shows that the contribution of the application of fingerprint attendance in increasing employee work discipline is 39.2%, while the remaining 60.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
