Early Study Optimization of Unmanned Aircraft Propeller Design to Get Low Noise Characteristics Based on a Decrease in Noise Generation Mechanism with the Help of a Fluid Flow Simulation
Introduction

Meanwhile, the pressure field can be reduced by choosing a twist angle that can produce lower sound pressure levels. The selection of airfoil and twist angle are crucial factors in reducing noise generation, and this study aims to investigate the effect of these parameters on noise reduction.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Experimental Methods
This study was conducted using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) by considering parameters such as turbulence energy, lift coefficient, and drag coefficient for airfoil. In rotating propeller experiments, the parameters to be analyzed are the speed and dynamic pressure produced by propeller rotation. The CFD method allows for the simulation of fluid flow and the analysis of various parameters, making it an ideal tool for propeller design optimization.
Results and Discussion
From the experimental results, it can be concluded that Airfoil Clark-Y shows the best aerodynamic performance and has lower turbulence energy compared to two other candidates. In addition, the results of the propeller experiment rotating at a speed of 2500 rpm showed that the propeller with a 35 degree twist angle produced the lowest sound pressure level, which was 52,01777383 dB at a distance of 10 meters from the sound source. These results indicate that the selection of airfoil and twist angle can significantly affect noise reduction.
