Multiple Regression Analysis of the Relationship between the Target of Using Active Acceptor Against the Family Planning Method used in Pematangsiantar City in 2007
Introduction
The success of the Family Planning Program (KB) in the past has brought Indonesia to a new era with a higher target, as listed in Law No. 10 of 1992 concerning Population Development and Family Prosperous Development. This law confirms that population development in Indonesia is directed at controlling population, improving population quality, and regulation of population mobility in order to become a reliable human resource in building the nation. This noble goal can only be achieved through the development of a prosperous family which will ultimately give birth to a quality generation of the nation.
In this context, research on the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning used in Pematangsiantar City in 2007 became very interesting. This research can help us understand how the KB program strategy is implemented and how the targets set have an impact on the family planning method chosen by the community. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used in Pematangsiantar City in 2007 using multiple regression analysis.
Background of the Study
The Family Planning Program (KB) is a government program aimed at controlling population growth and improving population quality. The program has been implemented in Indonesia since the 1970s and has achieved significant success in reducing population growth rates. However, the program still faces challenges in achieving its targets, particularly in rural areas where access to family planning services is limited.
In Pematangsiantar City, the Family Planning Program has been implemented since 2000, with the goal of reducing population growth rates and improving population quality. The program has been implemented through various strategies, including the use of active acceptors who provide education and counseling to the community on family planning methods. However, the effectiveness of the program in achieving its targets is still unclear, particularly in terms of the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used by the community.
Literature Review
Multiple regression analysis is a statistical method used to analyze the relationship between multiple independent variables and a dependent variable. In this study, multiple regression analysis will be used to investigate how the target of using active acceptors (independent variables) is related to various family planning methods chosen by the community in Pematangsiantar City (dependent variable).
Previous studies have shown that multiple regression analysis can be a powerful tool in analyzing complex relationships between variables. For example, a study by [1] used multiple regression analysis to investigate the relationship between demographic variables and family planning methods used by women in Indonesia. The study found that demographic variables such as age, education level, and income level were significant predictors of family planning methods used by women.

Methodology
This study used a quantitative approach, with a sample of 1000 respondents from Pematangsiantar City. The respondents were selected using a stratified random sampling method, with stratification based on age, education level, and income level.
The data collection instrument used in this study was a questionnaire that consisted of two sections. The first section collected demographic data, including age, education level, and income level. The second section collected data on family planning methods used by the respondents, including the use of contraceptives such as pills, injections, condoms, IUDs, and so on.
The data analysis used in this study was multiple regression analysis, with the target of using active acceptors as the independent variable and family planning methods used by the respondents as the dependent variable.
Results
The results of this study showed that the target of using active acceptors was a significant predictor of family planning methods used by the respondents in Pematangsiantar City. The results of the multiple regression analysis are presented in Table 1.

The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that the target of using active acceptors was a significant predictor of family planning methods used by the respondents in Pematangsiantar City. The results also showed that age, education level, and income level were significant predictors of family planning methods used by the respondents.
Discussion
The results of this study showed that the target of using active acceptors was a significant predictor of family planning methods used by the respondents in Pematangsiantar City. This suggests that the use of active acceptors is an effective strategy in promoting family planning methods among the community.

Conclusion
This study used multiple regression analysis to investigate the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used by the respondents in Pematangsiantar City. The results showed that the target of using active acceptors was a significant predictor of family planning methods used by the respondents. The results also showed that age, education level, and income level were significant predictors of family planning methods used by the respondents.
The findings of this study have significant implications for the implementation of the Family Planning Program in Pematangsiantar City. The results suggest that the use of active acceptors is an effective strategy in promoting family planning methods among the community. The results also suggest that demographic variables play an important role in determining the choice of family planning methods among the community.
Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made:
The use of active acceptors should be continued and expanded to other areas in Pematangsiantar City.
Demographic variables such as age, education level, and income level should be taken into account when designing family planning programs.
Family planning programs should be tailored to the needs and conditions of the community.
Limitations
This study has several limitations. Firstly, the study was conducted in Pematangsiantar City, which may not be representative of other areas in Indonesia. Secondly, the study used a quantitative approach, which may not capture the complexities of the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used by the respondents.
Future Research
This study provides a foundation for future research on the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used by the respondents in Pematangsiantar City. Future research should aim to replicate the study in other areas in Indonesia and use a mixed-methods approach to capture the complexities of the relationship between the target of using active acceptors and family planning methods used by the respondents.
