Cut Meutia Regional Hospital is one of the major hospitals in Aceh Province, and it has been facing a surge in the number of inpatients over the past three years (2007-2009). The results of the analysis showed that all variables of quality health services, namely tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, significantly affect patient satisfaction. Among the five variables, empathic variables have the most dominant influence on patient satisfaction. This finding suggests that patients feel very influenced by the attitudes and behavior of nurses and other medical personnel in providing services.
